We worked with the board game publisher, Blackletter Games to develop a brand and website that could be used to both promote and sell their games.

The brief included the development of a logo, branding guidelines and search engine optimisation.

Designing a website for Blackletter Games was all about capturing the essence of their brand — dark, thematic, and steeped in atmosphere — while creating a platform that showcases their board games to both fans and retailers. Our goal was to combine striking visual design with clear storytelling and intuitive user experience.

We began by immersing ourselves in Blackletter Games’ world: their tone, their audience, and the unique identity behind titles like Damnation: The Gothic Game. This discovery stage helped us shape a creative direction that reflected their gothic aesthetic — moody visuals, rich textures, and bold typography that evoke the feel of their games.

From there, we designed a site structure that’s simple to navigate yet visually impactful. Each game page was crafted to draw visitors into its story through high-quality imagery, thematic backgrounds, and concise descriptions that convey the gameplay and atmosphere. Calls to action like “Buy Now” or “Join the Mailing List” were placed strategically to encourage engagement without disrupting the immersive experience.

Behind the scenes, we focused on performance and usability. The site is responsive across all devices, loads quickly, and is optimised for search engines — ensuring fans searching for Blackletter Games or their titles can find them easily. We also integrated social links and newsletter sign-ups to help grow their community and keep players connected to future releases.

The result is a website that doesn’t just present products — it tells a story. For Blackletter Games, the site serves as both a showcase and a hub for their growing audience, reflecting the creativity and atmosphere that define their work in the tabletop world.
